Athirai qualified as a Dental practitioner from Barts & The London in 2014, where she went on to complete her vocational training in a busy practice in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Following this, she had the privilege of working as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Maxillo-Facial Surgery department at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. She thoroughly enjoyed working and learning about various oral conditions and furthering her oral surgery skills, which enticed her to continue further along this path.
She went on to work at major trauma centres and district hospitals in London and Cornwall, during which she successfully completed the RCSEd MFDS qualification.
Athirai believes empathy plays an integral part in forming a lasting relationship with each and every one of her patients; she is a gentle and caring dentist who enjoys providing dentistry according to patients’ needs and budget.
Athirai loves to enhance her patients’ smiles with short term braces, tooth whitening and cosmetic composite bonding. She is also qualified in providing non surgical facial aesthetics including dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments. She always endeavours to further her knowledge and develop her skill set through regular courses.
Outside of dentistry, Athirai stays healthy through classical Indian dancing and swimming. She also loves traveling and hiking, and is always looking for good backpacking holiday suggestions!
